Homework
Many days throughout the week students will come home with homework. Homework is posted each day that it is assigned and students are responsible for recording their homework in their agendas at the end of each day. Homework is due the next day unless otherwise directed.
Homework that is not submitted on the due date will be marked down 20%. Poor homework habits will negatively affect your child's report card grades.

Daily Practice
Reading:
Math:
- 5th graders should be reading at home daily each night for 25-30 minutes. Their reading should be recorded in their agendas each night. The amount of minutes can be recorded at the bottom of each day in the agenda near the daily parent signature.
Math:
- The 5th graders are working on math fluency each and every day! Make sure to continue studying math facts at home daily. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division fact fluency establishes strong mathematical understanding and helps students compute problems more accurately! Studying these facts daily along with their reading strengthens their math skills across the board!
- To practice at home, flash cards are very effective! Playing math games online, going over flashcards, and reviewing homework together with another individual are all helpful study habits!
